Dublin hosts the Youth Start-Up Challenge 2026 final: Your chance to step onto the European stage

Big ideas start with two minutes. And in 2026, the stage is set in Dublin. The Youth Start-Up Challenge 2026 is now open for young Europeans who want to turn their ideas into entrepreneurial initiatives with real impact. The competition offers access to a European platform for visibility, connection, and validation, bringing together innovators, investors, and representatives of the European start-up ecosystem. The Youth Start-Up Challenge 2026 targets young people aged 18 to 25 who are residents of EU Member States or countries participating in the Single Market Programme. The competition encourages ideas that contribute to Europe’s strategic priorities: green transition and sustainability, digital transformation, social inclusion, innovation, and economic resilience.

To apply, participants must prepare a video of no more than two minutes, recorded in vertical format and presented in English, outlining the problem, the solution, and the proposed start-up concept. They must also submit a business plan of up to three pages, written in English. The deadline for submitting applications is 20 September 2026.

After the evaluation stage, an international jury will select three finalists based on creativity, originality, and communication skills. These three young innovators will be invited to present their ideas live at the SME & Clusters Assembly 2026, an event taking place in Dublin, Ireland, from 2–4 November 2026.

The winner of the competition will receive an invitation to the European Innovation Council (EIC) Summit 2027, one of the most important European platforms dedicated to innovators, investors, and decision‑makers.
