Business Modeling and Financing: Workshop delivered by Conf.univ.dr. Alexandra Muțiu within the UBB Student i-Lab incubation program (01.04.2026)

Module 7 highlighted a crucial topic for any entrepreneur: “Business Modeling and Financing.” In a world where good ideas are only the beginning, the ability to structure them financially and support them with smart decisions makes the difference between a short-lived startup and a sustainable business.

The workshop was delivered by Conf.univ.dr. Alexandra Muțiu, Vice-Rector at Universitatea Babeș-Bolyai, recognized for her extensive experience in teaching accounting and controlling across undergraduate, master’s, MBA, and Executive programs. With a case-study–based pedagogical approach, Conf.univ.dr. Alexandra Muțiu successfully transformed complex financial concepts into practical and applicable tools for the participants.

During the session, participants explored:

– the main challenges in entrepreneurial management and how they can be addressed effectively;
– various financial business models and their adaptability to market realities;
– practical methods for preparing budgets and creating financial forecasts to ensure the stable growth of the business.

The presentation highlighted that the success of a business is measured not only by the quality of the idea but also by the ability to plan, manage, and communicate resources strategically. Conf.univ.dr. Alexandra Muțiu emphasized the importance of a winner’s mindset—an essential element for turning challenges into opportunities and making decisions that drive the business forward.
