Problem and Solution – Workshop delivered by Associate Professor, PhD Cătălina Crișan as part of the i-Lab incubation program (11.03.2026)

We continued the entrepreneurial journey in the i-Lab program with Module 2, where the focus was on identifying real problems and finding the right solutions for them.

The session was delivered by Cătălina Crișan, Associate Professor, PhD, at the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Business Administration, with extensive experience in research and teaching in the fields of entrepreneurship and small and medium-sized enterprise management.

As part of the “Problem and Solution” workshop, participants explored:
– the differences between social entrepreneurship and commercial entrepreneurship;
– how to define a concrete problem: identifying its causes and effects;
– the importance of the Customer Discovery method for validating ideas and adapting solutions.

In practice, the teams learned that the power of conversations with users can transform initial ideas and even lead to essential pivots. The examples and hands-on exercises provided by Cătălina demonstrated how real-world problems drive innovation, and how a deep understanding of customer needs is the key to success in entrepreneurship.

The workshop demonstrated that impactful solutions always start with a clear understanding of the problem and an authentic connection with those who will use them. 🔍🚀
