Start-up Mindset – Workshop delivered by Erika (Adriana) Țiplea and Sandu Băbășan as part of the i-Lab incubation program (10.03.2026)

As part of the i-Lab incubation program, participants took part in the first workshop dedicated to developing an entrepreneurial mindset—an essential step for anyone who wants to build and grow a start-up.
The session was delivered by Erika (Adriana) Țiplea and Sandu Băbășan, two professionals with different but complementary experiences, who provided an authentic perspective on the entrepreneurial journey.
As part of the “Start-up Mindset” module, participants explored essential topics for the beginning of an entrepreneurial journey:
– developing a start-up mindset and the psychology of success;
– how failure can become a valuable resource for building strong businesses;
– the importance of mindset in decision-making and in adapting to the challenges of the entrepreneurial environment.
Drawing on their professional experiences, the speakers shared concrete examples of what the entrepreneurial journey really looks like: a process marked by trials, pivots, mistakes, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Erika (Adriana) Țiplea, Manager of Botanical Bar Events, spoke about the lessons she has accumulated over more than 10 years of activity in the hospitality and event organization industry, as well as about how her experience in the financial and accounting field has contributed to developing a solid entrepreneurial perspective.
Sandu Băbășan, a tech entrepreneur and investor from Cluj-Napoca, known for his involvement in developing Romania’s e-commerce and startup ecosystem, shared his experience in building and supporting innovative projects, as well as the importance of leadership based on autonomy and continuous learning.
The workshop offered participants not only inspiration but also a realistic perspective on the challenges and opportunities in the startup world, emphasizing that the right mindset is often the first step toward building a successful business. 🚀
