“Young People in the Arena” 2026 Launch Event

On February 27, 2026, in the “Victor Jinga” Aula of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FSEGA), the “Young People in the Arena” 2026 launch event took place, a gathering dedicated to students and young people interested in entrepreneurship and the startup ecosystem.

The event brought together experienced entrepreneurs and investors, who throughout their careers had gone through defining stages such as funding rounds, strategic pivots, and moments of failure. Through their talks, they offered participants a realistic perspective on the entrepreneurial journey and on how an idea can evolve from concept into a funded business.

The discussions focused on the challenges encountered when building a startup, the pressure of decision-making in the business environment, and the importance of trusting one’s own ideas and team. Participants had the opportunity to ask questions and learn directly from the speakers how strategic decisions are made within a developing entrepreneurial project.

For students, the event represented an opportunity to connect directly with professionals from the business environment and to better understand the steps required to transform an idea into a viable project.

The event was organized by Vreau să fiu Antreprenor and Romanian Business Leaders Cluj, with the support of FSEGA and UBB Student i-Lab. The initiative is part of a series of activities aimed at fostering the entrepreneurial spirit among young people and facilitating connections between the academic environment and the business ecosystem.
